On playing the perfect wedding songs

I realised we tend to ignore the importance on selecting songs at weddings. Here, karaoke dominates followed by guling tangan and tausyeh . Of course, dangdut songs are the all-time favourites till some of us sakit telinga listening and makes us wanna leave the function pronto. Choosing the right lyrics with the right melody makes the wedding the loveliest. Well, below is the list of 12 songs that shud be banned in any wedding function hehehe J

1/ Kenangan Terindah – Samsons (lovely song but study the lyric first...)

2/ Januari – Glenn Fredly (my all-time fav but unsuitable to be played..)

3/ Ketahuan – Matta

4/ Cinta ini membunuhku – D Masiv

5/ Sephia – SO7

6/ Tak Selama Selingkuh itu Indah – Merpati Band

7/ Tapi Bukan Aku – Kerispatih

8/ Kekasih Gelapku – Unggu

9/ Cinta – Melly & KD (why?... terlalu sedih...)

10/ Beautiful – James Blunt

11/ Mengenangmu – Kerispatih

12/ Aku cinta kau dan dia – Ahmad Dhani

The classic one like Tenda Biru too shud not be played. M run of list now so if u got any songs that you think that shud be banned.. u r welcome to comment. Thanks J

Have a great time peeps!

OGDC TRIP - PART 2

OGDC TECH. CHALLENGE
Then, we headed for the technology challenge, my fav. part of the trip (all of us did). Here, we were divided into groups and was assigned to create an oilrig according to their requirements. Only one group for teachers and 3 groups for students. The result? Hehehe we managed to grab 2nd place (alah only lose to the oilrig's height.. hehe kes inda mau kalah).

The creative oil rig designed by creative teachers hehe (middle) & The winning group with their oilrig.

Us with our respective creations.

Dedicated to Azean. We miss U! hehe
Thank you OGDC team for your warm welcome and hospitality. Yes indeed all of us esp. the students have gained knowledge and developed information on the importance of science and technology. Hopefully we can conduct more activities with you next year.! We apologized for any inconvenience caused during the trip. (Kami sememangnya andang bising haha)
At last, to my dear colleagues & students, my great appreciation for your involvement & cooperation in the activities. Don't forget our explorace on the 25th... hehehe

OGDC TRIP - PART 1

This morning we organised an educational trip to OGDC for our Secondary 4 Science students. From the pics, you could see that we really had a blast trip hence enhance knowledge and information on the importance of science and technology. Same as maths, economics, accounts, science is also involved in our every day life. :)

Love me or Hate me

So currently it is 'O' Level Exam and m directly involved with it and has been assigned as the chief invigilator (sounds err? Superior haha). Big responsibilities i tell u, have to adjust my morning time 15 mins early from home, have lots of documents to sign in, then have to make sure the exam papers are safe & sealed (or else....). Luckily I've been assigned to my former high school, its make me easier to handle as I know where the exam hall is situated, the admin, the canteen hehe etc.. somehow it is good to be back, meeting some old teachers and looking back the bitter sweet memories there. Enough about invigilation.

Back to school, the exam's mark sheet is waiting for me. Well, thanks to my dear colleagues who have submitted their marks on time but heyyyyy... i didn't received a few others despite the deadline was due last week. What the ______ (fill in the gap pls). I think we have been given sufficient amount to finishing up marking the papers right? Another thing that makes me feel disappointed was when some of them had forgotten to submit the percentage rate of activities they gave to their respective students. OHhhhhh.. shud I start talking about teachers' professionalism? May be next time ya. Make it simple lah.. u got mad if your students didn't submit their work on time or never submit but why did u do the same thing too? Pffttt.... I can't accept the phrase 'sorry .. terlupa'. M not complaining about my job but i hope you my gentle readers understand my situation. Hehe

On a lighter note, last Sunday, me & my siblings went to watch Quantum of Solace. Daniel Craig shud be in every woman's list haha and i must agree with my bro that Olga is babelicious.

Anyway, skul holiday is coming soon. I have around 5 reports to submit, few action plans for 2009, 4 scheme of work (2 subjects & 2 levels) and much much more .... (too many things had transmitted into my brain... almost everyday got headache already..). Btw, I can't wait for Saturday's trip to OGDC. J

Yaayyyy I'm 4!!!

Our lil angel, lil queen, the boss is turning 4 (hehe). She demanded a Snow White & Friends Birthday Cake. Ms Ouch was confused and Widad explained her that Snow White & Friends is comprising of Snow White, Thomas, Marty (from the movie Madagascar), my dad & mom. But since we think it is a bit complicated, Ms Ouch ended of getting her a Thomas bday cake. Too bad, I didn't capture any pics of last nite as my 2 months coolpix went kaputzz (read: lens error)!
Happy bow-wow Widad! We love & sayang u !

Antara Amir, Hassan, Sohrab & Hari Raya

Some nights ago, my bro and I watched 'The Kite Runner' based on Khaled Hosseini's book of the same name. What can I say, it is the best movie i ever watched... sigh.... it reminds of how lucky we are to live in a peaceful country and able to satisfy our unlimited wants. It also reminded me that how SELFISH we are, yeah, just that we didn't realised. And what a coincidence, my friend, Z has read the book and we discussed it last night altho through a different door where she read & myself watched.
Anywhoo, wishing everyone Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri. Maaf Zahir Batin. I will not be organising an 'open house' this year but you are welcome to visit during 3rd raya. :)
Salam Aidilfitri. Maaf Zahir Batin.
Bayar Zakat sudah?
Do NOT over eat!
Drive safely! Don't be SELFISH!
Do NOT OVERSPEND!!!! (the economy is not good)
ENJOY THE CELEBRATION!!

Nadia's 20th Birthday

HAPPY 20th BIRTHDAY NADIA!!!!
N with Widad
Today is Nadia's birthday. She is our 'si bongsu inda jadi' since the arrival of Widad. Hehehe... do you guys want to know a lil bit of her?? mau?? hehe
Some interesting facts about her:
- when my late grandma (paternal) underwent her medication in Singapore, my parents were accompanying her and they decided not bring nadia along with them. Tahu wat happen, she didn't want to speak with everyone at home until she flew to Spore with my cousin to meet my parents. Cheh.. good strategy hah! This happened some 10 years ago.
- she seldom puasa. LOL
- she loves to dance (read: ronggeng).
Hehe .. jgn mare ye cik nadia.

Wedge Heel

Ohh wedges! One of my fav footwear. A wedge heel runs under the foot, from the back of the shoe to the middle or front.

Advantages of Wedge Heels:
- These shoes add height, but are easier to walk in than stilettos.
- Wedges have a very cosmopolitan look to them - they're worldly and sophisticated.
- A wedge heel looks great with nearly any length skirt or dress.
- Wedge heels, by nature, are a fashionable choice - by just choosing to wear them, you up your fashion quotient.
- Wedges will add definition and shape to heavy ankles, making them appear thinner.
Cons of Wedges:
- Wedge heels are still heels, with all their pitfalls. Don't be fooled into thinking you can run a marathon in them.
- Wedges can look a little clunky, especially when paired with very tight-fitting clothing.
- This style tends to seem a bit on the casual side. While there are dressier styles of wedges, finding a truly elegant one can be a bit difficult.
- A thick wedge heel will make really skinny ankles appear even thinner.
Hot with:
Flowing skirts
Bohemian styles
Thin, gauzy fabrics
Wrap dresses
Wide or flared jeans or pants
Gauchos

ahhh.. not to forget, it does look good with Baju Kurung Modern & Kebaya :)

Not with:
Pencil skirts
Capris
Pants with narrow or straight legs

sources can be found here except for the pic... it is owned by yours truly :) hehe

Reminiscence of the 90's

Salaam.
I bring you the 90's songs and let us recall our past bittersweet memories back in the 90's. There are 20 songs which are my all time favourites from Take That, Aerosmith, Toni Braxton, En Vogue (remember them?) to Feminin (hahaa...nevermind their suara burung) and of course Sheila on 7 first single 'Dan' and Anang for sure. Anyway, enjoy listening and am enjoying the blissful month of Ramadhan. :)

Ramadhan the month of Blessings

Embrace this glorious month through a journey of patience and sacrifice.
Strengthen brotherhood through Sadaqah, as we give a hand to those in need.
Good deeds are rewarded with abundance and we shall floursih in his blessings.
Walau setinggi mana darjat, kita tetap duduk sama rendah, berdiri sama tinggi.

The Rubik's cube Phenomenon

YES! It strikes again and infects people of all ages. At schools, weddings, family functions and almost everywhere. More than just a toy, Rubik's has inspired everything from art and culture to particle physics. At school, 'cubing' is the IN thing now. Unfortunately, the passion of 'cubing' has indirectly interrupt their studies hahaha... To date I caught two students 'cubing' during the lesson and since in class 'I RULE', I have to halt them from playing. Not that I against them from 'cubing', it is just not the right time. Just a little bit reminder for the boys, you are only allowed to 'cubing' during break time or lunch break but NOT during my lesson except under few circumstances:
  • You have completed the task.
  • You are able to fully understand and develop the skills with regards to the topic given.
  • There is few minutes left before the lesson ends (but jarang kan abis awal).

If you do not fulfill the above circumstances, so please continue 'cubing' during break time. Hey boys, you should be lucky of having me as your teacher hehe.

A cousin's son 'cubing' during Ms Ouch's engagement day.

Positron Emission Tomography

Better known as PET SCAN. It is a powerful imaging technique that holds great promise in the diagnosis and treatment of many diseases, particularly cancer. A non-invasive test, PET scans accurately image the cellular function of the human body. In a single PET scan your physician can examine your entire body. PET scanning provides a more complete picture, making it easier for your doctor to diagnose problems, determine the extent of disease, prescribe treatment, and track progress.
Why am I talking about this? Well, mum will be leaving for Spore this thursday for PET SCAN. This is to detect whether there are active cancer cells or any other old infection in her body. Lets pray to Allah s.w.t hopefully everything goes smoothly. Aminnn....
Oh.... life.......
